I tried to remove the tick from the Subscribe checkbox and then republished the contact page, but the tick in the subscribe checkbox keeps coming back. How can I permanently remove the tick from the subscribe checkbox?

I just needed a way for visitor to contact us using the contact form and has no intention for visitor to subscribe to anything… but because of the auto-subscribe tick in the checkbox that I can’t remove, visitor ended up receiving an email from Vzy asking them to confirm their subscription when all a visitor wanted was to contact us with some query. The auto-subscription and the subsequent email from vzy to ask the visitor to confirm subscription is absolutely not the intented purpose nor required. In fact, visitors were asking me how come they are receiving emails from some random vzy email accounts.

to replicate the issue, these are the steps:
- untick the Subscribe checkbox
- publish the page
- head out to any other pages, and then come back to the same page form setting
- Subscribe button is automatically ticked again
- any visitor who submit a “contact us” form will receive email from Vzy asking them to confirm their subscription
