Video muted in Hero section

My video which I added to the Hero section is muted when it starts playing. Why? Can I change it?
Same video added in the Embed section is not muted when it starts playing…

We reviewed this on our end, and everything seems to be working fine. When you upload a video to the Hero section, it will be muted in the editor by default. To hear the sound, you’ll need to publish your website and then, on the live site, click the ‘mute’ icon to unmute the video.

If you’re using a video URL from supported sites like YouTube, for example, and paste it into the Hero section’s video link, the video will play with sound in the editor when you click the play button.

Please give this a try and let us know if everything works fine for you!

Hi Christopher! I didn’t upload the video, but I pasted the veideo link into the Hero as you said. Our Video is hosted bei Vimeo, but it’s still muted when I start the video on our Website. Please take a look yourself: https://fng723.vzy.io/.
What also bothers me is that there first is a play button on the left of the video wich leads me to the video, where I have to press the “real” play button. Please give it a try.

Hi Christopher! The problem does only take place when I use a Hero.
When I use an Embed it is like you say, no problem. Video is not muted, one play button and the video starts to play when I press the button.
When I use the Hero, there’s still the problem. The video is muted, when I start the video on our Website and I have to press two play buttons.

Yes, we’ve had a chance to review it, and it looks like the issue is coming from the Vimeo platform, not from Vzy. We recommend uploading the video to YouTube and using that on your hero section instead. This should give you the result you’re looking for!

Hi Christoph, we don’t want to upload teh video to YouTube. When YouTube videos end there are always suggestions for new videos to watch, which we don’t want. Do you have another suggestioin or solution for me?
